We LOVE playing games as a family. In addition to the fun, it’s also a great way to learn/teach good sportsmanship. Of course we have our tried and true favorites but are always looking for new games that appeal to all ages in our household. Our kids range from 4-8 years old and I found a couple of new games we all love.

Penguin Pile-Up and Ready, Set. Sloth are our new favorites! Both games are for ages 4 and up. I especially love these games because our 4 year old completely gets it. She enjoys other games that we play as a family but a lot of time, she has to be on team with one of the grown ups. With these two, she can hold her own. An added bonus here is that the kids can play without grownups as well.

Penguin Pile-Up involves a wobbly iceberg and 16 adorable penguins. Take turns carefully placing them on the iceberg without knocking them into the sea! It’s only $4.83 on Walmart.com

Ready, Set, Sloth is a super cute game that takes a little bit of strategy and is a whole lot of fun. Draw cards that dictate yours and your opponents’ moves. Race to the top of the trees to win a spot in the hammock. It’s only $5.97 on Walmart.com

Another thing I love about them is the size. They are small enough to take on trips.

The quality is great and the kids can set the games up themselves. I’ll be buying extra to have on hand for gifts this holiday season.

Side note, Ravensburger is also the maker of one of our all time favorite games: Disney’s Eye Found It.
